HOW TO BLOCK A PORT IN WINDOWS FIREWALL

guys in this tutorial we will learn how to block a port in windows
firewall. Before going to this tutorial let me explain a little bit
about what is ports in computer and what are their uses. So basically in
Networking Ports are just like a communications medium between
endpoints in a computer’s host operating system. A port is associated
with an IP address of the host, as well as the type of protocol used for
communication. It is also associated to identically identify the
applications running on a computer it also enable to share a packets
over a network. There are total 65535 ports are available in a computers
system. In internet protocol the ports use two types of protocols i.e
TCP(transfer control protocol), UDP(user define protocol). By default
http use port 80 and https uses port 443. So this is all about ports in
networking now it’s a demo time…
Step 1 :- open a control Panel then go to windows Firewall option and click on it then a windows firewall menu is open infront of your screen then click on Advanced Settings then after click on Inbound Rules then New Rules
Control Panel – Windows Firewall – Advanced Settings – Inbound Rules – New Rules.
Step 2 :- Now New Bounded Rules wizard is open then select Ports options and click on next button.
Step 3 :- Then click on Specific local Ports button and fix the ranges between the ports whatever you wants to block it. Here I fix range between 4444 to 6010 to block the ports you can fix your range according to you. You can also block your all local ports by using All local ports option button and then click on next button.
Step 4 :- Then choose a Block a Connection button and then click on next.
Step 5 :- Now select all three Private, Public and Domain options and click on next.
Step 6 :- Finally you mention one specific name by which the ports has been block the name is depend upon you. After click the finish button the ports has been blocked in your computer.
